Default Trailer hitch ?

Hi, new guy, new to Land Rovers.
Bought an 04 Discovery 2 last week.
It has the factory hitch receiver.
I was going to use a 3 ball hitch that I already have, but it is too close to the bumper.
I wanted to know what everyone else is using.
This is only to pull a small 4'×6' four wheeler trailer, so not alot of total weight or tongue weight.
Thanks.

Depends on the type of bumper and if you have a lift.
But either way just measure the distance you need to clear the bumper/ rear door and order the correct length ball mount. Normally a 8 1/2" with a 2" drop will get it done.

Many options here > https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=...xed_Ball_Mount

At factory height I used an adjustable height drop hitch dropped around 4" for our horse trailer (sits kinda low) and a standard 2" drop for our regular trailers. When I lifted the truck raised 3.5" so I got a 4" drop adapter because I couldn't find a weight distribution hitch with a long enough drop. Also weight distribution hitches are effin' expensive.

The 8.5" with 2" drop is the info I was looking for.
I'm at stock height too.
I'll check and see what I can find.
Thank you both very much!!
