Trailhead chevy ls engine swap
Why stop at the engine trans and TC? Put the axles under there to upgraded brakes stronger internals, axle ratios galore and parts at every AutoZone in the land.
Motor punches out with no effort 310 hp and 425 ft lbs of torque. A bit of massaging brings it to 400 hp and well over 500 ft lbs in case you bored.
Plus V10 Defender 110 hard to beat that level of cool

Would you go with ifs? There are some pretty wicked 8.8 or 9" medium/long arm setups out there. 110 wheelbase would lend itself well to a "pre runner" oriented suspension. Although I wouldnt want to go full on Baja, just make rough track funner at 50-60mph.
Awhile ago I would have said no to IFS. Now after spending a lot of time with the LR3's I would really consider it.
In the end I doubt the v10 would make it under the hood but it is a fun idea that makes me want to go to a Junk Yard and measure.....
