MY LOCAL NON DEALER MECHANIC FOUND AN ERROR CODE IMPLING A PROBLEM WITH 4 TH GEAR MESHING. I CAN NOT FEEL A PROBLEM. WE PLAN TO HAVE A TRANY EXPERT TAKE A LOOK.
THOUGHTS?

it's the mass air flow meter.
sometimes the air filter is not installed properly and the tab on the air
box bends over resulting in unfiltered air bypassing
filter damaging air flow meter. after replacement of
filter and air mass air flow meter you MUST reset engine and
transmission adaptions. better than a transmission :-)

What you have is a 733 or 734 fault code, not for a meshing issue, it indicates eith 3rd. or 4th. gear are out of ratio and as already mentioned, most likely it is a Failing MAF sensor, $130 on line, change your air filter and get the codes cleared. If you have any questions, get back to me.

I TOOK THE AIR FILTER OUT AND CORECTED THE PINCHED CORNER,
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT
