Well I replaced the power steering pump with another and it works just great now. I did order a new tranny filter for the tranny and will replace it soon. It did just drive from Idaho to CA then over to Utah with out incident. I think I got a great deal on a decent rover, I saved it from cash for clunkers anyways.
