Trans Oil Temp light!!!

Default Trans Oil Temp light!!!

The Trans Oil TEmp light came on today and it hasn't turned off in like two hours of sitting still. where do i add the stuff?

I think you have fill plugs. You have to open the level plug with the truck running. Not positive on this, though. I am sure someone else with a d2 will chime in. You don't have a dipstick....

I would suggest getting a rave CD. They are like $10 on ebay, and I got one free from rover-renovations.com . It has all of the trucks on it. Really cool info

You might also check the temp sensor wires. I know you go offroad. Something may have come loose...

I agree, if the light is on when the tranny is cold, your mode lights aren't flashing and it is shifting, you should be fine to drive to the dealer.

Did you have to add alot of ATF, if so I would suggest you service the tranny. If you didn't add any fluid and the light just went off by itself, it may come back on again because of a pinched wire or bad switch.
