Default Transfer case leaking

Hi all,
i went on vacation and left my 03 D2 sitting in the garage and came home two weeks later to various puddles. One of them seems to be coming from the bottom plate of the T case. Is this a common leak point? Do you just get the kit from AB and swap out the gasket or am I going to run into some nightmare?

Pretty much any leak will end up there as it's the lowest point on the transfer case. Clean everything and look to see where it's coming from

If it's just the cover leaking there is a thread about removing and resealing. Not hard

Check the breather tubing. If it is clogged or melted, system will get under pressure and leak. It is a very easy test, just try to blow in some air at the U-end in the engine compartment with your mouth (attach a hose as extension, e.g. 1/4" fuel line fits).

I made a gasket for the cover - this link may be helpful for you.
