Default Transfer Case No Lights or Warnings

Hello ev..anyone,

I was hoping someone had been down this path before and could provide advice. Did some trails last weekend in my '04 and was able to shift into 4-Lo and back to High no problem. I checked that the CDL was functioning by jacking up the front and could spin my wheel unlocked but it wouldn't spin locked so I thinking I'm good there. HDC did not work when going down a pretty steep hill off-road (flashing light and alarm). The problem is that I get no lights or noises of any kind for the transfer case(neutral, LO, CDL). I checked the interior fuse and it's fine. I crawled under, took pictures and everything looks plugged in. Could it be that every switch is bad? I did have the motor replaced by a shop a few months ago and I know they swapped out a computer...wondering if my problem is a programming issue before I start drilling out transmission tunnel rivets to gain access and other stuff that make for a much more involved project. I was many owners deep when I bought this truck as basically a non-runner so I never touched the transfer case lever or remember if that light worked before the motor swap. Is there a possibility that the computer they put in the truck had the transfer case alerts turned off somehow? I just find it hard to believe that every switch would be busted...I know, I know, these things have their problems

If the hi/lo detect switch goes you will get those symptoms assuming you have an 03/04. There is is an easy test, put the Disco in low and press the mode switch, the "M" should light up. if it does not the the detech switch is dead, easy to change you can do it from underneath.

Thank you! No "M" so switches have been ordered. I appreciate the help.
