Do you know the proper way to test the fluid level, with the engine running?

Default Checking tranny fluid level

Disco Mike, Im new to the forum and the disco II. I love the truck, but the guy I bought it from said there is a tranny leak. I did what I thought was how to check the tranny, but didnt do it while running. Can you point me in the direction for that process??

1. Start the truck.
2. Put catch pan underneath fill plug.
3. Slide under the truck.
4. Take the fill plug off (the one on the front of the tranny pan)
5. If ATF comes out in a steady stream, you are full, if not put in more ATF.
