Tricky Dick - P0441
#41
P0441 can take some time to come back, since the ECU needs to see certain drive cycles before it decides to throw that code. P0441 is most likely caused by a faulty purge valve. You can do a static test with a 9V battery and blowing some air with your mouth through (or better use a vacuum tester, never use compressed air). If it passes it doesn't mean it is fully functioning, since the solenoid is operated up to 30 times per second by the ECU and you can't test that easily.
Be careful with a Hyundai purge valve, some which are offered on Amazon or ebay are not working in a D2 (I had to learn it the hard way). I returned it and bought a genuine Bosch ($30) and got P0441 fixed immediately after messing around for two weeks.
Check and clean the purge line from the valve to the vapor canister (can be easily disconnected there) by blowing some cleaner and air through.
Also clean the idle air control valve, it gets sticky over time.
