There have been posts of wire smashed under the intake during re-install, might have to look with mirror, etc, to be sure nothing is pinched from the mighty torque wrench.

Okay time to update this latest saga of non running DII

Finally replaced the coil packs today and now the engine does not crank. About week ago we put a multimeter on the coil connections to make sure they were getting juice upon start up. The upper intake was off the fuel relay was pulled. Blew the 20 amp engine spark fuse in the dash. Replaced fuse, the engine still did not crank at that point. The connections were reading power however.

I'm wondering.. is it possible that the culprit has been the crankshaft position sensor all along? Is it possible that it had just enough left to misfire come cylinders. Then after a few weeks it has finally given out? I tried unlocking and locking the truck 5 times and that didn't do anything.(EDIT:Savannahbuzz, just got your PM thanks)

I forgot to try the interia switch and wanted to make sure I had the procedure right.
Press inerita switch and lock and unlock the alarm 3 times to reset it? - Just want to make sure I wont harm anything to try this.

Fuse 23 inside the truck. Controls power to coil of starter relay. If that is good, then...

Would get out RAVE electrical manual and "start" by jumping starter relay contact to see if it will actually engage the solenoid and turn the starter. This assumes you have good well charged battery. Relay 2 under the hood is the starter relay. Unplug it, and look for tiny numbers. 87 and 30 are the contacts, you and touch across that on the socket with a short piece of wire and starter should engage and turn. You can also use a volt meter to meter across 86 and 85, which are the coil. You would want to see 12 volts there when trying to crank. Fuse link 30 under hood supplies the power that goes thru contacts to starter solenoid. There is no fuse for the main starter power, it is about 300 amps draw and that is why big wire terminals and such have to be clean and tight.

False alarm, battery was only reading 12.5 at the terminals. Charger says its weak so Ill give it another go this afternoon.

Check that. Battery fully charged, still doesn't crank. I keep looking at the baseball bat in the corner of my garage. Will try your suggestion Savannah.
