ok i had it checked only problem was cyl #3 was has a miss fire. Could be a reason for the loss of power?

Absolutely, depending on how bad it is. Was there just one code or was there another for multiple misfires or catalyst damaging misfires. Something like that.

If your check engine light worked, the really bad misfires causes it to flash.

Hopefully you just need plugs and wires or something.

Oops, didnt notice this was a D2. On my D1 it is/was a bulb that can burn out.

the guy showed me the reader and it only showed one code and it said "Cylinder 3 Miss Fire"
