Default Turn signal not working

Hi All,

I just purchased a 1996 Discovery with 120k miles. Pretty pleased with the condition, but just realized that the left and right turn signal does not work.

Is this a major problem? i know nothing about cars and will take it to a mechanic, just want to know what i am in for.

Thanks everyone, really enjoy reading these posts.

Not working how? Blinks really fast? Or not at all?

Not working at all: can't see it in the front or back lights outside the car and it is not lighting up or making noise on the inside of the car.

Thanks very much for replying.

You might need a new one of these.

Turn your hazards on and make sure that the bulbs work first.

Replace the bulbs. If all the turn signal bulbs on one side are burnt out it might affect the hazards and will keep the turn signals from working.
