On a couple of occasions the indicators on my Discovery 1 have started flashing (both sides). The hazard switch is not closed, and the turn signal switches are not either. It continues to flash with the key out of the ignition, but stops after I insert the key again. I hear relay type clicks from behind the glovebox. I wonder what causes this condition. Maybe it's something I should be aware of but I'm clueless.

 

I think I discovered it's the inertia switch. If I bump the Land Rover off-road, the indicators flash and central door locking disables. I don't really understand why it does that.
