Turner 4.6 Build
Another curiosity, anyone know what shop "book time" is on the labor to swap engines?
By "book time" I mean the time in hours that the shop manual say to charge for the work, not the actual time it takes. Most shops charge book rates and hope to get it done faster for obvious profit reasons.

The shop book times are in the RAVE manual.
One other option I used after looking around was the AB long block. Heads, front case, water pump all set. Used my 10% discount on it too.. Shipping was fast and refund on core was a week after they received mine back. Another plus was the warranty covers any certified shop to do the work. One engine builder I did try the first time wanted it pulled and sent back for repairs after the heads started leaking. You definitely get what you pay for.
