Turning Steering Wheel Shuts Off All Electrical - Why?
I got this 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 in a trade from a private seller and he told me about the evap issue and the power steering fluid leak issue and I was able to drive it home just fine. I was perfectly ok with the issues it had and was willing to learn how to work on it and fix those issues BUT now it seems to have developed a new issue.
When I turn the steering wheel slightly it kills all electrical, completely. WIth the engine off, I can turn the steering wheel ever so slightly and see that at a certain point it kills the power and then past that point the power comes back on. Has anyone every heard of this or know what might be causing it? If I knew what was causing it I might be able to try and fix it myself, but having no clue at all why it is doing this is making it really hard to figure out.
