Default Types of brakes

Hey guys just curoius what is the difference between metalic, semi-metalic, and organic brake pads? I seen all 3 listed but am unsure which to get (my disco is going to need new brakes soon) and I dont want to get the cheapest one because I notice from the forums that screws up the abs sensors. Also is there away to minimize brake dust? Thanks

Go to Atlantic British and buy one of their complete brake sets, they offer 3 qualitys. As for brake dust, cheaper after market and factory pads, better quality one make less dust.
Make sure to use lots of sound deadening material on the backing plates and do a full brake flush when done.

Mike if i may ask what pads do you use? I see the 3 (One being ECB performance, the rest shows Genuine which is made from Lockheed, and the other doesnt have a name) Mostly my 97 Disco 1 will be use for highway driving, I will probally go off road 5% or less and not very heavy off roading, just on the grass and a few inches of mud

Stay away from the ECB's, they will eat up your rotors pretty fast.
I am seeing a lot of people going to AtuoZone and buying their ceramic pads, this is a pretty good way to go also.
