I mounted mine right above the Washer Buttons via velcro

 

That cable routed like that would drive me nuts

Here's mine, mounted with a simple Velcro strip. Works great, and it's easy to pull up and toward you to manipulate the buttons. The loop at the left end of the dash is noticeable only when the door is open and gives a little extra length to work with.
