But those are not sending units, they are simply on-off switches.
Oil PSI drops below "X" and it closes the circuit and the light comes on.
Battery volts drops below "X" and it closes the circuit and the light comes on.
It is that simple, unplug your oil PSI sending unit and touch the connector to bare metal, the light will come on if the engine is running.
If there was a oil gauge on the dash then the ECU would actually get data on oil PSI and it could be shown on the U-G.
