Default Ultragauge question

Hi. I know there are a lot of threads on the Ultragauge here - have done a bit of a search but didn’t see anything relevant to my question…

I’ve tried a number of monitoring devices I’ve seen in the postings, and none have performed well (they’re on my workbench if anyone wants them). I finally bought an Ultragauge. Unfortunately, the two main parameters I want to monitor, coolant temp and battery voltage, don’t display. Coolant temp is a menu selection but doesn’t display. ECM battery voltage doesn’t show up on the menu. I don’t need another tachometer or trip mileage indicator…

Any ideas?

Thanks!

DRW

wonder why. What page do you have the coolant display on ,? Make sure it’s on page 1 so you can see it

You can assign each gauge to 1 of 7 pages.

I assigned battery voltage and coolant temp to the top 2/3 of the first page and then smaller underneath, I have rpm and speed. Other than that, I use the 02 sensor readout a few pages down but rarely check through the other parameters if I have no codes.

it takes a little finagling, but it should all be programmable in about 20 minutes or so of fiddling.

Understand. I’m saying I can’t seem to get coolant temp or voltage on any page, in any position…

but you can assign other gauges? Can you find coolant temp at all or is it missing? Might need to call ultragauge. It was the first thing I did on mine when I plugged it in.

Are you sure you're ECU is outputting those parameters correctly? My ultra gauge displays both fine.

Well, I restored the defaults, and it started registering coolant temp (actually, nothing would show up in position 1 on any of the gauge pages initially). And I see now that the Ultragauge voltage is essentially battery voltage…

Thanks for comments, all.
