Default used sensors. okay on some?

curious on sensors. are you guys buying any used ones? not the common fail ones, but simple sensors like knock sensors and camshaft sensors?
trying to save a couple bucks, but not at the risk of creating cause for issue.

Personally, pony up the extra dough And just get them new... save elsewhere. It's not worth the potential trouble.

I didnt know the 4.0 had a cam position sensor? I thought they only had a crank sensor

I have no problem going used, depends on the wallet. Sensors either work or they don't. Some people say if you have one failling O2 sensor, replace all 4. I dont understand that philosophy...I just replace the bad part myself. If I had a used O2 sensor sitting on my bench, you bet im putting it in.

I would base my decision on how difficult said sensor is to get to in case of used or chain store part failure.

If the price is right i will buy them for spares. Id rather plug in a used $75 xyz switch than paying $650 for a new one hoping thats the problem.
