I gave in and installed my Vacuum gauge. It's amazing how technology has advanced even with gauges. This is an electronic version of a vacuum gauge. Has a sending unit that connects to the intake manifold and then the sending unit connects to the display. The gauge measures both voltage and bar reading and displays green, yellow and red like its analog version. Cost is $35.00

And I like where I mounted it - seems to be the perfect place for it.

Interesting, but part of the troubleshooting in the old days was watching the analog vac gauge for "twitches". Not sure the digital sampling rate of the display will show that. Just like an analog meter can show faults that change rapidly that are hard to see with a digital multimeter. What kind of readings have you gotten so far?

Good stuff! Haven't had time to really go deep into the digital vacuum gauge features since it's fairly new.

What I have been using it for and what the original intention was to use it to maximize fuel economy for these gas-thirsty Rovers. I can see how depressing the gas pedal like its against an eggshell keeps the gauge indicator green vs. yellow or red.

For what it's worth, at idle the gauge reads -0.5 bar and so far that's been the noticeable observation.

So that is around 14 in Hg, and mine is 17 on the gauge shown before. Maybe a small vac leak somewhere, or PCV issue. With a vac gauge you can squeeze hoses to clamp them off and look for change.
