Default Valley pan gasket question

I managed to drop a small bolt into the head, and it skipped down underneath the valley pan. Of course this happened after I finished the torque sequence on the lower manifold.

My question is, if I cannot fish the bill out with a magnet, and I have to remove the valley pan gasket, can I reuse it or will I have to buy another one?

It's so pretty right now.. lol

More than likely you would be okay reusing it. But that haunting voice in the back of your head will be there constantly reminding you...

I'd replace it.

There are many haunting voices in my head with a Rover tone. I refuse to drive it with the radio on in case a new noise manifests itself.

Looked for quite a while last night with a scope, nada. I'm going to turn the engine over by hand this afternoon and see if it binds up or if I can hear the bolt drop into the pan. Fingers crossed

I guess the image didn't take.

I found the bolt in the oil pan. It managed to get past the cam and crankshaft. I was excited I found it.
