x2. If it's just coolant in the cylinders, that just tells us it's most likely a headgasket. Depending on the amount of damage, they may need to be machined. When I did mine, did not get heads machined, just slapped a new gasket in there and it did the trick. Doing a headgasket replacement is little more than a step by step process of removing bolts, screws and parts, cleaning everything, then putting it all back. Its totally doable.

A disco 2 is one of the few vehicles where you can put a new engine it for $5,000 and the whole vehicle is worth $4,500 when you are finished installing it :-)

What state are you in?

you also have an early year D2. The engines aren't that bad in these, the 04's are the worst. Good chance you put some fresh head gaskets in there and it would be fine.

Thule Crossbars which I use as surf racks. As for the roof treatment, it might warrant a new thread but here are a few pics of before and after.

Before shot. I sanded it down with a fine grit first.
taped the truck off all the way around and used this with a spray gun
work in progress Finished look in just a few hours.
closeup of the roof which I did a few years ago and still looks the same now.

Should have done it in Safari white! Makes the truck cooler in the hot sun.
