Vehicle won't accelerate
I have a 1999 Discovery II with 111,000 miles. The car was running very poorly and wouldn't accelerate. I got codes for mass air and coil pack. I replaced air mass, coil pack, wires and plugs. The engine runs fine in nuetral without a miss. Howerver when I go to drive it, it won't accelerate at all from a stop. I wants to take all day to get up to any speed. Any ideas?
what are the exact CEL codes you are getting now? im guessing you cleared the codes after you threw all those parts at it? what type of wires did you install, i hope 8mm STI, Kingsborne, Magnecore or similar?
You seem to be the expert here. So my engine light is on and steady then flashing. My reader still said no codes so I took it to Auto Zone. Their reader also said no codes. After reading one of your threads on scanners, I'm concerned that neither has the ability to read all the codes. I'm thinking that my only alternative is to take it to the dealership and have them diagnois the problem and and codes. I just hate to spend probably $75 to have them hook it up and read the codes. Any suggestions? Also as I was runnning the vehicle in my driveway, I heard the sound of air leaking and gurgling from the passenger compartment. That lead me to suspect that the heater core was leaking. Sure enough, I felt around on the passenger floorboard and it was wet and slick with an antifreeze solution. I then decided to check this out. My question is, do I rerally have to disconnect the a/c lines to investigate this situtation. I started to pull the heater blower out and at first glance seemed pretty simple. But now it seems I have to dismantel the entire center dash to remove the blower motor to inspect the heater core and water lines. Is this true or is there an alternative? I would appreciate any advice to these questions.
Dont be so quick to suspect a leaking hear core.
First crawl under the truck and make sure the a/c drains are not clogged, when the clog the water from the a/c backs up and overflows into the passenger cabin.
Then it gets moldy, mold is slimy.

My Range Rover 6 auto 2011,fails to accelerate after braking. It takes three pumps on the accelerator to get the car moving. Very dangerous in traffic.
