Default vibration at 65

my front shaft went out so i marked the position and removed it, took it to a good drive shaft shop, they rebuilt it and told me i did not need install to previous marks because they balanced the shaft. the problem i have now is at 65 to 75 only when i am accelerating there is a vibration. it only happens between those speeds and only during accelerating. any help would be appreciated

also can i run the vehicle with the front shaft removed

Search. This has been covered to death. With multiple outcomes/solutions.

Not unless you have a CDL, and even then I wouldn't suggest it for long.

i had a new shaft built by GBR in utah a month or so ago. i installed without lining up also and have a vib 70-75 and again at 85-90. best guess i heard was potentially a bad ujoint but i think the whole drive line needs to be rebalanced.

not really helpful but i'm in the same boat. GBR is going to take a look at the shaft and stand behind their work so i appreciate that.

x40 on this one... yes you should certainly find the issue causing the vibration but at the same time I would suggest that you drive a tad slower. these are really heavy vehicles that are not intended to be driven at those kinds of speeds. Not to mention I do not know many places in the US where that speed is legal oh and can you imagine a more direct way of taking your all ready low gas mileage and dropping even lower.. C'mon guys be smart and be safe.

absolutely! i like to see how hard she'll go before she explodes.

no i noticed the vibration and one time i went that high to verify that it was a harmonic resonance issue.

and thank you. i'll drive responsibly.
