Default water pump quetion

I had a leak if you guys remember about a month or two ago. today I was looking underneath the disco and saw were its coming from. It looks like its bleeding out of the water pump. I cleaned it with a rag and slowly i saw tiny drops of coolant bleeding out of the metal not from the top or bottom but from the metal itself.
please help thanks

sounds like a hair line crack, time for a new pump. some JB weld or bond all putty might hold you over until you can get a new one in if its just a small leak.

Are you sure the coolant is not leaking from the weep hole?
Either way, coolant is leaking past the inner seal. a pump will be in order.

my first thought was weep hole.

it is the issue my 79' 308 is having. after 67k miles the first major issue is a weeping pump,,,, if you wanna call that major.

AllData bills the water pump replacement on a DI at 1.2 hours. The hardest part is getting the viscous fan clutch off. Mine is froze on and I cannot get it off to save my life.
If you look at the water pump it looks very easy to do, I have not done one, tried, but have not replaced my water pump as of yet.
Almost one year driving with bad water pump bearings, I tell you, these trucks are built to last.
