Waterfall Woes
Out of the blue I got the waterfall noise in my heater core. I recently got some ramps so I tried to bleed it again, but it seemed like it made it worse.
My question really is how long do you open the bleeder for? When I open it I'm not really seeing gurgling/bubbles escaping but I don't know if I just need to let more coolant run out?

I think you only need to open bleed until you get coolant. Are your heater hoses connected in the right direction? From memory you want the flow going from bottom to top of matrix so it can push the air out easier.
Also you can open the bleeder screw when the engine is cold, stone cold, and inspect. If you don't see coolant right to the top, you are seeing air. replace that air with coolant, right through the bleed hole.
Do some driving then check again the next morning. It could take a few time of this to get all the air out... Unless of course you have a leak letting new air in.

Which direction are the hoses supposed to go, I'm pretty sure they're correct but never hurts to double check.
Stock flow goes into the heater core via the top hose in the engine compartment -- which connects to the lower inlet on the heater core -- and exits via the upper outlet on the core / lower hose in the compartment.
RAVE page 25-2-4 shows the full flow diagram.
