What are all the downsides to lifting the Disco?

Yeah, downtown parking garages always make me nervous. 2" lift (actually closer to 2.5") with 265/75/16 Duratracs and no rack.

I have an 03 lifted and an 04 stock. If i had to choose just one it would be the lifted one. Rides smoother and i like the height.

I have the same lift in inches and sized tires on Myrtle and I creep through the parking garages slowly (the max height in Britain is usually 6'6") with no scraping. It can get a bit scary with high speed bumps in the garage though.
It's funny to see people stop what they are doing, watch me drive and wait for the roof to hit something.

Exactly!! I swear I scan the pavement ahead of me for bumps and such in garages almost more than I scan the ground while off-roading!

A lift also makes working under the hood more of a pain.

When I work under the hood now I pull it up to my lift(I’m sure is the same with jacks) and remove front wheels then lower the car so then the front goes lower than the back to where the calipers are about to touch the ground makes it super easy

Well I just bought a 2 inch terrafirm from AB.
Took it all apart today found my drivers side tower corroded and a chunk actually broke off
now need new terrafirm ones
