Hello Rover Fam,

I made the foolish mistake of not labelling these things when I pulled the engine. I'm about ready to swap my LS in now, I've got these couple of stragglers left and I'm not sure what they are exactly.




I'm thinking the Yellow circle is the Fuel Line, and I'm not sure about the Green Circle...unless I have these backwards.
I know the purple one is closed loop and doesn't really matter but I'd still like to know what it is.

Yellow is fuel, other ones are transfer case and transmission vents.

Where does this vent tube typically connect to?

Just found this in another thread;

The breather lines on the Disco should be snapped into a plastic clip on the firewall, next to the brake booster.

Now I'm set. Build thread coming soon..

 

RH Side Head should have a little bracket which holds the lines into place from the factory. Most vehicles if they've had a HG Job or any upper engine work done = it gets left off.

 

Hello, me again

I'm trying to connect a fuel line adapter to the rover line, this enables a connection to the GM fuel rail.
This fitting goes in the fuel line no problem, but there's nothing locking it in there...I can pull it out just as easy as it went in.

Wondering what I'm missing...assuming I probably broke the locking clip off (if there is such a piece) when removing the engine..
Wondering what this fitting is called and if its something easy to find at a local car parts shop or amazon?

 

The locking clip on land rover portion of fuel line looks to be gone, it's green or gray l believe, it slides in the opening on the side of the connector. You squeeze it to release the connector from fuel rail, normally, and it stays in place even once fuel lìne is pulled off rail.

 

Weird that it's gone, it's kind of captive in there even after the hose is pulled off the metal pipe fitting. I should have a spare hose if you can't source one elsewhere. It may be easier to replace the entire section of hose than to fish the little clip out of there.
