First thing to break on my D2 in 3 years! Gotta love it.
I'm looking to order some. Was it res to pump or low pressure hose? How much and where? I found the res to pump for $35 on the flea.

Its res to pump and it's $40 including shipping from Miami Rovers.
Must be an issue with these PS pumps. Look at this listing on eBay:
New Power Steering Pump Land Rover Discovery 2004 2003 2002 2001 2000 99 1999 | eBay
110 sold and only 3 left!! Makes me think I should get one just in case....

Yep, been reading conflicting reports on the cheap aftermarket ones. I am going to attempt replacing seals first.

Talking

No pictures cause my smartphone **** the bed but heres what I did today.

Started off by checking the engine oil and coolant levels. Originally I thought I had a noticeable coolant leak but after topping it off a couple weeks ago and removing the coolant drain plug she level has been stable and is right where it should be when the engine is cold. Sadly I still have an oil leak. Tightening up the valve cover gasket bolts slowed the leak down but I checked today and Im half empty so have to top it off again next week. Will look more into this matter very soon when I do an oil and oil pan gasket change.

I then decided to take advantage of the warm weather (34 degrees) to clean my wheels of all the brake dust thats accumulated thanks in park to the ****ty brake rebuild kit I order last year. I new they were not the best, just needed something to get me by. Cant wait to upgrade the brake lines and switch to ceramic pads. Cause that means Ill be spending less time cleaning my wheels.

Finally I tackled a long overdue air draft leak in the drivers rear door window. One of the seals somehow managed to come lose and eventually got pulled down into the guts of the door, leaving a 2 inch gap where the seal was suppose to be. Consequently every time I get on the highway a very uncomfortable air draft would whistle on into the cabin. I took the door panel off and pushed the seal back to its original position than used super glue to ensure it stays there. Cannot wait until I job on the highway tomorrow on my way to work, I expect a considerably quieter ride and no more cold air coming inside the cabin. The job was much easier with the panel popper tool I bought, so I was able to remove and reinstall the door panel without breaking any of the 11 plastic panel studs!

Tried playing around with the diff lock again today to loosen it up but no luck at all. The high low works fine but I cannot get the lever to move over to the diff lock position. I tried in both high and low range to engage the diff and no luck. I did just recently have DAP lubricate the linkage so I dont know what the hell is up with it.

Not the end of the world and Im happy I got a couple things done.

Default Wash(er)

Washed it VERY dirty with salty mess everywhere. Then pulled the front bumper and replaced both of the headlight washers. With this winter and the poor performance of the headlights they need to stay clean!

Took my Wife and Puppy to the snow. Grabbed a fire road and headed to Echo Summit. It was awesome, and of course, the truck did great in the snow. Although it was only 6-12 inches. We had a light snow, and didn't want it to go to waste.
