Oil change, K&N oil filter, 15/40 Shell Rotella Diesel... Just bought the 2000 disco 2 a few weeks ago...Oil seems completely normal, no coolant just looked like it really needed the oil change. I love how this thing drives and is more comfortable than my 07 altima. For 197,900 miles and the price it's a damn steal. Looking forward to doing an improvement to my suspension and steering dampers. These trucks seem like they were meant to be worked on...love it

New starter this weekend, came out without removing the heat shield. the shield actually kind of pivoted up and out of the way and kinda clicks back into position. nice that she starts on the first crank, and with enthusiasm!

I'll third that. I just got new ones designed to look original, and they're very nice. However, I like the nylon--I'm pretty sure that's what it is--for the more synthetic look.

Very cool.

It sounds so nice.. it's a shame I can barely hear it over the fan.

Found this broken spring.

It has been said by many.. fix one issue and another will rear it's ugly head. I replaced the entire exhaust with all.new magnaflow equipment only to find that the right front spring is broken, the front output shaft on the transfercase is actually bent ever so slightly, and the rear output seal is leaking like like a siv.

Are you able to open your rear door with the tire on? If not flip the tire carrier. You will need to drill two holes in the carrier but should not take long at all. Easiest way is to flip the carrier bolt up the top and bottom holes. Take a drill bit through the inside of the door panel where the existing hole is, then drill through the carrier.

I was worried my door wouldn't close either, but it does! I might still flip the carrier to get some extra room. Thanks for the how to!

Went to Harbor Freight today and picked up a new floor jack, jack stands, and impact sockets to make work a little easier.

Finished the D2 to D1 wiper conversion by getting a fresh wiper blade on the rear D1 arm.

Fluid wasn't flowing flowing to rear wiper. Turns out the tube had come off the wiper fluid motor. Put it back on and added a zip tie for good measure.

Changed the oil. This was the second oil change I've done, and the first after switching to Rotella T6. Oil was really really dirty after only 2,800 miles. Am hoping this is just a sign that the extra detergents are doing their job.

Been eyeing up some of the aftermarket front bumpers. I think that upgrade is in my near future! They look awesome. Any specific recommendations?

Ordered a replacement alpine window for the one that I broke at SCARR last weekend. Got it on ebay for $50 after shipping.
