Yes, there are some nice perks living in the US. Some we definitely take for granted.
I was at Home Depot the other day and I saw this woman that looked very stressed. I asked if I could help her figure something out. She said she was having a really hard time deciding between the Chrome or Gold fixtures in her new bathroom.
I don't know why, but it hit me really hard. I was suddenly ashamed that we as Americans are stressing about what COLOR our faucet will be. The faucet that delivers not only Clean Drinkable water, but HOT water, right to our bathrooms. This, while many countries are struggling to get a bucket of cold dirty water back to their huts or sheds.
I'm not saying I'm ashamed to be American, but it's sad other countries are having it so hard.

After that, I went and picked out the coolest looking, most unnecessary, tires for my Land Rover. That made me feel better...

I really lost some respect after my Iraq trips, and other "3rd world" country's, in 2005 Iraq had electricity on maybe 2 hours at any 24 period.... Businesses still operated and life moved foreword. Cut the power off for two weeks in Amy City, America and the place will eat itself alive! It's gunna take something bad before Americans relive what we take for granted.

My first disco got it one month ago. Sense then new tires, Oil change, wiper blades, LF window regulator, Deep cleaning in progress, 1/2 fender trim painted...sanding is getting old. Oh and cleared the service engine soon light. Codes were reading 02 sensor up-stream and one down stream...thinks too a bottle of cadiclean they cleared...Was ready to buy 300 dollars worth of sensors.

. Seriously, in the west we are really spoiled and everything is available a few 'clicks' away and our toys are worth more than many have to live on for a year. Although I have no real shame about this (it's the luck of the draw wherever you were born) I sometimes feel sad at some others plight. Having said that, we have all worked hard for what we have and no-one should bear the burden of guilt for that.......even city bankers . To us having a lifestyle with everything we need is a consequence of a turn of fate and so why should anyone bear the burden of guilt. A few days ago I got my wife to sit in the truck and joggle the steering wheel back and forth a couple of inches each way whilst I slid under the front to assess the steering drag link and track control ends. I noticed a small clonk when she was doing this. Today we repeated this and I spent more time checking (the wife was complaining her arms were aching) as I had thought it may be the upper or lower steering knuckle joints which are a real PITA to replace. But today I was pleasantly surprised as it was the drag link ball joint so I checked all the rest of the joints on the track control link. They both seemed OK so it looks like a new steering drag link is called for but it is the adjustable end that is clonking but unfortunately the other end is crimped into the link tube so I'll replace the whole link. Just another little job to do along with all the others

I have done this in the past, without any problems, but I won't guarantee it will not overload the circuit. Although, it is fused, so should be ok. These adapters put out 3 amps, so maybe 5 amps total draw with wasted energy? I think the Cig Lighter circuit should handle that just fine.
