Can you direct me to a link that walks you through the process, or give me the run-down yourself? My DII key is currently being held together with electrical tape...

Thanks!
Its a d2 custom key shell. link below
Modified Folding Shell Remote Key Case Fob 2 Button for Land Rover Discovery 2 | eBay

I bought mine a while back and just ordered two more from this place, when you get the key in all you do is go get the key blade cut but have them make sure they line it up properly after that you insert the electronics from your current one and assemble the new fob.

It's really just a copy of a Mini Cooper Key fob, as they both use the same style of transponder.
Here it is on Amazon Here it is on Amazon
. I have one as well. Certain things I love about it, and certain things I hate. Id recommend getting
a case a case
to extend the life of the new fob.

Hi cmmoyer, did you convert to an actual LR3 key fob, or do the same conversion as ls1morethan you discusses in his post up above?

Thanks!
