Last weekend was busy. Saturday I got my CB wired in. Power direct from the battery and grounded under the hood. Sunday I got the antenna installed. Used part of a Firestik door jamb mount, put it on the spare tire carrier. Ran the cable and ground wire through the rear window washer hole in the rear door, then ran the ground down the door jamb and under the bumper to the frame, and ran the antenna coax cable from thw rear door into the back cargo area, then under the cargo mat and rear seat to the center console. As I was soldering the plug onto the coax, the ceramic insulator on the plug broke... so I still don't have a working CB, but once I replace the plug, it will take me no time at all to get it working.

Default Yep back to putting it together

Put head bolts in passenger side the other day. Put head bolts on driver's today, well o.k. almost all. The bottom head bolt against the firewall needs about 15 more degrees and having trouble getting it tight with that little space. Using 6 pt socket but may have to resort to 12 if I can't get this to grab in a good spot. I wanted to get farther than that today but thats the way it goes.

I used an impact socket and a long pipe and was able to get it but was a pain in the butt!

I changed transmission filter and fluid. I noticed on the wire harness along the drivers side of the tranny there are two wires hanging. One is brown the other brown with green strip. Looks like they have slip on connectors that go on to a sensor. Runs quiet but no 4th gear. Getting that incorrect 4th gear ratio. Any Input is appreciated

Most likely those two wires go to the transmission temperature sensor on the side of the transmission.

Thanks. would that keep it from shifting in to 4th gear?

I don't believe so. I suggest posting a new thread about this problem. More people are likely to see it.

went wheeling finally been about a year or so. Took the nephews! had a blast. Also enjoyed watching brand new rubicon nose dive.

I'll never understand why these guys go out with brand new Rubicons.

For 30k, head out and buy a nice used Disco, dump another 10k in it, and you'll have a nicer vehicle, more capable of going off road, and 10k left over!

Pulled all the ignition wires out. Found out that the coil packs and SAI plumbing weren't mounted properly to the back of the intake manifold. Gonna order a new wire set tomorrow morning from AB. In the meantime I'll degrease everything, and clean the throttle plate.
