What did you do with your DII today?

Yeah the locks on this thing are weird. I've had a problem for two years where the rear locks will lock, but will not unlock. Finally replaced the rear passenger actuator today and it works great! .... But now the window won't actuate. What the hell?

I know how it feels lol it is extremly frustrating, I feel like I wasted 80$ by replacing the lock actuator i cant even find a solution.

I worked on my 03 disco this afternoon....AGAIN and to no avail. Done nothing but worked on it, repairing crap, just for more crap to crap out. I will tell you what I WILL be doing tomorrow with the POS 03' DISCO. I will yank it out of my shop with my 97' FORD F250 7.3 Diesel (with almost a half of million miles without a hiccup!!) pulling it out to my back pasture, stuffing it full of tannerite, and fire about 1000 rounds into the Euro-P.O.S. !! The Land rover experience is my first and last. What a sorry *** product.

The previous owners did not take care of it. I am the original owner of 3 vehicles. All have over 300k miles and they all run very well because I have taken great care of them. I am now considering on rebuilding this DISCO for the most of it from ground up.
I just kinda went bat-sh*t crazy yesterday after months of frustration. But, I know that if I put fourth the effort and care into it, it will be well running for years to come because I take of my equipment. I'm just in a learning phase- it's my first dealing with a Land Rover.

I bought my truck sight unseen from a a Rover "specialist" that lied his *** off to sell me the truck. I flew from Seattle to LA to pick it up to find that they'd performed an engine swap that morning. Everything on my truck was junk. It's amazing I only broke down twice on the drive back to Seattle from LA. (bad battery, cheap dealer didn't replace the transmission cooler hoses so the old ones blew off under pressure) The truck still got me through really big snowdrifts in the Mohave desert when I was detoured due to the grapevine being closed due to heavy snow though.
3 years later, I've fixed most of the garbage. The final stage will be to replace the motor with the engine that the truck should have got from the start, a "30 over" American built top hat V8 with the performance cam.
Something happened to cars in the 2000's. Cars became disposable, too much cheap plastic. No one rebuilds stuff anymore, they just clip on the new plastic part.

Which is the reason why I have been in the process of placing together a full blown fabrication shop-cnc machines, the works. I'm definitely spending money, but I'm sick of cheap crap. I was born early enough to know better than the crap that's available now days. If a man wants something built right, he definitely is going to have to learn to do it himself because we're all **** out of luck nowadays.
