your temps are lower than mine. Did you use a 180 degree stat? Do you have a 4.6? Oil cooler?

Drove it. Dag on drivers window started jumping while going up. Guess it will be something else I'll need to dig into.

180* stat from summit, inline in a mez housing. Up top like every other inline mod. gonna clean that up later. 4.0 , no oil cooler, radiator has less than 10k on it.

Now that things have settled down a bit, getting some fluctuations. On startup, i get up to 194, then the thermostat opens and it plummets down to 175 (give or take.) gotta put the 1/8 inch hole in the thermo, it has a jiggle pin, put maybe another hole will help that.

Idle temp hasn't changed Still sits at 183. Driving temp does though, fluctuates between 177-186. 181 while cruising, down to 177 when off throttle, back up to 186 when stopped, idle down to 183.

to me, I'll take then 10 degree swing being inline as opposed to the 20 plus degree swing with the factory setup.

Other problems have risen. now i have noise from driveshaft.

Thanks for detailing that. I had my 03 from 2013-2015. There were some hairy moments, but, like you, over 30,000+ miles, it never failed to start when I needed it to or take us where we needed to go. I've fixed Amigos, O2 sensors, and all of the fluids. So I think I have a pretty good idea about what to look for in a used disco. But at the end of the day, these machines are getting old, which is why I'm eyeing the LR3 instead.

And, perhaps most importantly, at the end of the day, we only need one car, and our XC90 is doing a good job.

Due to the Blizzard of 2017 here in Georgia , I needed heated seats in my 2001 Disco.
If you have the leather seats package on your Disco 2's, then you have heater units built into the seats and the connections are in the center console behind the window switches.

I swapped the location of the rear and front windows when I had my console off. The fronts were at the bottom and now at the top of the console.

Bought all the stuff to replace the coolant pump (i.e. anti freeze, wetter water, gasket, gasket sealer, new coolant pump).

Wanting to start tonight but, might need Tricky Dick tomorrow due to weather.

Just because the switches light up, that doesn't mean the seats will get warm. The heater wires are notorious for breaking and there's no feedback loop to make the light go out if the circuit is broken.

Not my Land Rover, but I sure enjoyed Clarkson modding a D2 into a sport vehicle.

As soon as the Disco came on the screen, I got a big smile on my face. I love when the LRs get some Top Gear (err, Grand Tour) love.

I now have an increased desire to pick up another Disco!
