.......But on the bright side,

I did score a brand-new, in-the-box BOSCH MAF on Ebay for $68 ( Made in Germany, not Mexico or Taiwan ).
So I put that in my TreK and it runs even smoother than before.

So onwards to #2, new BOSCH wiper blades front and back ; #3, new winshield, #4, new headliner.... in that order

Yesterday, removed the front bumper off the 01 and started fab-ing up a new one.

Today, replaced Watts linkage bushings on the 03. Did them here at work, when it gets home the engine work begins.

Will say one thing...man, my wife's HSE is so, so much nicer to drive than my SD. It's like driving a Catty, smooth, quiet and better acceleration, too.

Brian.

Lucky you !

Mine rewarded me with a blown head gasket on the right bank for its 100,000 mile birthday.

They are just the gift that keeps on giving ....!

Installed a new OME steering damper.
5 minute job! Thank you Colorado for not using sodium chloride on the roads.

I'm doing my steering damper next.
Did you have to jack up anything or is it a straight swap?

There's more than enough room to replace the steering damper without having to raise the front of the truck. Two bolts. You'll probably need a breaker bar because they're pretty tight.

Yeah, very easy swap. No jacking. Nothing but removing two bolts, out with the old and in with the new.

It runs super but I lost my storage and I just cannot do $250 per vehicle per month ( and I had five vehicles in there ).
How much? And where's it listed?

Asking for a friend

at least I won't have to do the heads on this truck for a while. However, my white RRC, the black Sable RRC and the new to me d1 could all use a refresh. If karma wants to deliver a swift kick to the crotch, one or more would go at the same time.
