Replaced the really bad Watts link with a good used one tonight. I may replace with panhard later but this will do.
Next up is rust repair patch in rear frame in pass side at hoop. Then clean framer and seal with chassis saver.
Picking up a Oslo Blue hood and fender Saturday to replace my clear coat damage. Can't wait!
holy ****, those are rusted! is that an east coast thing generally? or unique to this truck?

Yeah East coast is brutal. I'm having the frame blasted in 2 weeks. I have two small patches up front to do and one bigger one in the rear. Then coat the frame in chassis saver.
Found an Oslo Blue D2 getting parted out an hour from me. Went and got the hood and fender for $100! While there I picked up several minor things I wanted for cheap.
Once I paint the brush bar, rear ladder and fender flares in bedliner it will really look nice.
Started the teardown of my new '03 project truck today. Removed the oil pan, front cover, intake manifolds, and the heads. The previous owner had the head gaskets done about 1500 miles ago but was told that they needed to be done again.
I discovered why.
A transmission breather pipe was sandwiched between the block and one of the heads.
Sent word to the PO that they might not want to use that mechanic again.

I don't see how it even made it the 1500mi from getting done!
