The Big 5 cable conversion (rebuild) is usually done by stereo pros for proper battery power distribution.
It consists of:
1. 0AWG from battery + to alternator + (through fuse box connected to 150A fuse link)
2. 0AWG from battery + to starter +
3. 0AWG from battery - to alternator mount
4. 0AWG from battery - to chassis
5. 0AWG from chassis to engine

That console cubby looks awesome. But as flimsy as the center console is I hope it’s got some kind of strong brackets that go down to the body. The OEM bracket under there is barely up to the task of holding the two OEM bolts securely without buckling.

Besides that it’s a great looking product!

Going to the junkyard later today, might try and snag a D1 tranny pan / tube but we'll see!

I received the cubby safe yesterday from Wild4x4 https://m.facebook.com/pages/categor...6391959112106/

I did a better write up here... https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...23/#post663804

I removed the 2 original screws, inserted the safe, bolted it down with the 2 bolts with washers that came with it, set the combo and I was done.

Lubed steering shaft joints on my wife's rover, after her complaining about it being lumpy feeling. Then drove it to dinner...all good (dinner and steering).

Tinted tailights. They had cracks in them so I had to cover them to avoid the lights filling up with water . Just as bright as before . Tinted using film

Escott16 have you drilled holes in the bottom of your tail lights? You can drill a small hole in each one on the back bottom side of the assembly and even if they leak some they won't fill up like a fish bowl. I highly recommend doing so on the rather delicate and prone to cracking 03-04 tail lights.

I did do that after researching the forum and it caught my car on fire . Water leaked down into my trailer harness and went up in flames , luckily I caught it and extinquished it before it got inside the car
