New tires tonight. Went up to a 265/75R16 from 255/65. Recalibrated the SLS to lower the rear more.

That's on my list of things to get for our rig.

  • Serpentine Belt....
  • GBR front driveshaft as mine committed suicide at very low speed (yay) while my wife was driving (oops)
  • New U joint and donut on rear drive shaft
  • Stripped and painted the headliner a nice Espresso color.
  • GROM Bluetooth

Next up.....transmission service, then plugs and wires.
You're going to run out of things to do....Not! How do you like the GROM Bluetooth? Did the same to my headliner. Only dislike the creaking I get from the pillar where it contacts the liner. Have to add a gasket between them.

Yeah it’s a great unit & it makes the center console a lot more solid as well.

Took to repair shop (I live in rural Alaska, 5 hrs from the only repair shop in the state). Coolant leak at intake gasket - is also causing some strange noises when letting off acceleration (was not vacuum). Quoted $985 for the fix. Ouch.

Need new tires and any tire advice. Thinking about going to Costco. Wondering what size would be best to put on? I'd love to get a lift (someday) but budget says will have to wait.

I hooked up my iPhone X to the GROM Bluetooth and it worked great for both playing music and using the telephone. Later tried to connect my wife's new IPhone XS and got nowhere. Havent yet had a chance to look into it further; maybe it only saves 1 pairing? GROM was easy to install and a clean solution.

Maybe the best news about the headliner is that it is unnoticed. I just wasnt confident that I could do a great job gluing in a new one so decided to try painting first. BTW, a stiff horse brush works great for removing the old residue.

I’d suggest 265/75 r16 BFGoodrich all terrain ko2 tires from Costco. There prices are reasonable there. That’s a bigger tire than stock but should fit without problems and work great up there. Awesome in the snow too
