Default what else do I need to buy for heated windscreen?

I'm trying to figure out what hardware I need and how to go about the ECU communication issue. I have the windshield with the heating element in it but I do not have the windshield heater button. Does this mean the ONLY component that I have is the windshield? This seems like the obvious answer but I was pleasantly surprised to find that our vehicles are completely set-up for heated seats even if you don't have on/off switch in your bezel. I would love to find that, once again, all that I need to purchase is the on/off switch for the heated windscreen.

thanks!

Ed

You need the switch and you need a scanner that can turn on that option in the BECM.

I’ve seen some fuse boxes fully populated. Mine must have been built when times were tight at Land Rover. I borrowed the SAI pump relay I think until I got a new one.
