Best coolant for these. Basically designed for them.

Oh man, yeah, that was one of the first things I did when I got this truck. I used to be team BMW for years. Working on old Bimmers was where I got my DIY/wrenching enthusiasm from. That BMW coolant is quite the unsung hero of motor longevity. They were made for aluminum motors, don't contain the phosphates most other coolants contain, thus all but eliminating electrolysis occurring (with regular changes of course). I've owned E30s with 200K+ on the clock and coolant passages were pretty much spotless. Compare that to the red crystalline tunnels that run through my Disco.
