That was pretty interesting. I think it also has alot to do with tire design and manufacturer, they all vary a little bit in size. I dont run full-blown mud tires, but my Cooper s-t's are fairly aggressive.
I could see where a M/T would rub in the rear with no trimming.
IMO, when I mounted up the 245/75, I did have to remove the front mud flaps off the factory running boards

Nothing. I only wanted 2" of lift since I knew I was going with a 245/75 tire. 3" woulda been a little much,looks wise,with that size tire.
