So I really need to get tires for my disco....

I'm pretty set on 265/70/r16's and I just thought will my spare wheel/tire still fit on the back of my rover with these tires...

anybody know?

Thanks

Matt

You can take the spare tire carrier off and turn it upside down to give you more room for a bigger tire.

It will raise the tire a couple of inches, so a bigger tire will fit but it will block more of your view out the rear window.

Some people have just used the top 2 lugs that will raise it up enough to fit a 32" tire. Or you can flip it but that will lose you a little support unless you redrill and support. Then there are the brackets for $100.

i was running my larger spare on my stock carrier for a while, but you also have to consider weight.. larger tires weigh significantly more than stock and put quite a strain on your rear door hinges, thats why i moved my spare up to my roof rack
