Default What are these wires behind the headlights?

While cutting out the headlight bracket, I chopped the wires off with an angle grinder... well, the plugs had to be cut anyway, but I didn't want to cut there.

I knicked this bundle of 8 wires. It might be a sensor, but I can't think of a sensor that needs 8 wires. Is it just looped back onto itself? Either way, I need to repair the wires, I just want to know what they are. Driver side has it too.

Thanks.

Start the truck, push all the buttons, follow the smoke...

I think all that's there are headlight, low beam fog, high beam fog, and horn wiring.

I can't make any sense of it yet. I'm afraid to cut it apart without knowing what's inside. All 8 wires are black. If it was a sensor (highly doubtful) then I'd think there would be colored wires. If its just a cap for ground wires, ok, maybe, but why?

On the passenger side there are a bunch of ground wires bolted to the back of the core support that go into the headlight area

I am guessing those capped off ones are the wiring for the adjustable beam headlight that the Europe ones have?

Jeff, do a larger photo to identify where the wires are as it's hard to tell from the close up.

If they are all black it's reasonable to believe they are all bundled earth grounds but I'm just guessing.

Offroad, this is the headlight area, with headlight removed

Anyway... All good... I just repaired the wires and continued on my way.
