Default What used to be here???

I recently had a fan belt semi-disintegrate which caused a lot of damage because of the whipping strands trying to escape!
It broke the air intake pipe (now fixed) and damaged the MAF wiring (also now fixed, kinda) and cut a huge chunk of the hood insulation out and spread fuzzy stuff all over the engine (Grrrrrr)
But as I was fixing all this I find two threaded holes that are open and I'm pretty sure that at least one of them was not open before!
These are the two threaded holes just below the air con pump and just above the (missing) shroud bracket bolts.
Sorry about the size of the photos but that is what my phone decided it needed!
So does anyone know what should be here? My belt cover was already missing cause I put one bolt into the hole to fill it long ago and I would have done that for these two holes as well if they would have been open then (at least I think I would have!)
I can't find any parts hanging that need a home so What was supposed to be mounted here?

ACE pump lives there when equipped.

It's for a plastic cover you can see here in this image covering the AC pulley. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=htt...04cf3bc299984b

I don't think it is necessary since I removed mine and never put it back on.

I think the cover would be a good thing to have, it would have prevented a lot of the damage the belt caused.
I might build a cover (out of something more durable than plastic!) to put back on there. The original cover was gone before I got the vehicle.
There is a piece of plastic still stuck on the remaining mounting bolt so maybe this happened before and it broke the guard?

piece of plastic there likely to break in the event of similar event mine did at least. Not worth the headache of replacing imo.

I was actually thinking of fabricating an aluminum guard to put on.
I agree that the plastic isn't worth putting back but I also am not impressed with what the belt did to the engine compartment.
I drive a lot of gravel roads and I think it was probably a small stone got caught in between the belt and one of the pulleys which caused to belt to break. So the possibility of this happening again is pretty high.
I had no indication of anything wrong because the belt only partially broke with about a third of it peeling back and whipping around and destroying everything it could reach
I was just lucky that I didn't drive very long with it sucking in unfiltered air before I discovered what had happened.
Here's a pic of the hood liner and intake air pipe damage:
