okay, still its helping me that you know where a shifter kit can be obtained for a lot less than thru EE, they seem so expensive....

It is because EE is the Actual Land Rover OEM part. Where as Lucky 8 is Ashcroft Transmissions remake of the part. Ashcroft is based out of the UK and know everything about the Rover drivetrain. Either way, I would rather get the one from lucky 8. I am going to get it soon enough.

Right now I have a metal handle that I pull under the truck. Pretty ghetto. but it works for the time being.

It is 700 Australian Dollars. about $566 US right now. I bought it for less back in March. It depends when you buy it.

with the CDL shifter that I want to get, would a used one be a no-no or would i be alright?

The lucky 8 one, but I was thinkin because the used ones they have at roverland parts are a bit cheaper...
