Default What's up with my headlight washers?

Hey all, I've noticed that the spray pattern from the washer nozzles for the headlights don't exactly hit the lenses.

Is this a normal thing? Both are aftermarket replacements, installed when I replaced my front bumper last winter.

Hi, it's the idiots guide to windshield washer adjustment Washer Aim Video - Advance Auto Parts » AAP - Wipers - Informational - Dorman - Windshield Washer - Demonstration » Advance Auto Parts Video and the same on the light washers.

If you're stuck try looking at Google too https://www.google.fr/webhp?sourceid...ome%20download

I don't think the nozzles on the headlight washers articulate, but I can try when I'm back home.

If those jets are amr5114, check to see if they have the diffusers.

Those are the ones, however I got them from Miami British. There's a little lip of sorts that hangs over into the stream, however I feel that it could go a little further towards diverting washer fluid towards the lens.

The sprayers are designed to hit the lenses when you are moving down the road at highway speed.

Well, that would explain things.

At the same time, that would do me no good in, say, a snowstorm, or clearing mud while offroad.

I suppose I can fabricate something to fit over the nozzle and redirect the spray pattern.

Don't these things only come on under certain conditions, like only when wipers are on, and every 7th spray of the windscreen using the washers?

Schwaggy: Headlights on, and every third spray of windshield washers.
