Wheel trim/arches

I used Duplicolor brand bedliner. Gave them just the right amount of texture and is super forgiving when you paint with it. I got some clumps I didn't like and just dabbed them up with a paper towel and kept painting. I don't have any pics, I am going to do a front bumper this weekend. Its the best.

It is indeed a time-consuming mod to refurbish the wheel moulding but if you have time, you will save a fortune. Plus it is just as difficult to remove the originals then replace with expensive new set. I tried plasti dip but it didn't hold up well for me so last night I texture-rolled the wheel arches and rocker mouldins with Kevlar bed liner. It looks awesome and seems much more durable than the flimsy PlastDip coating. Make sure you scuff or sand the smooth finish and apply a good grease and wax remover if you plan on doing anything to the pieces otherwise, you will have a lot of problems with bubbles, peeling, runs, etc. do it right the first time because it will take 10 x times as long to remove new coatings, prep again especially if you are taping-off. But definitely make a move because the vehicle looks so much better when the outer mouldins don't look all raggedy

To each his own, but I'm not sure why you would bother taking them off to paint them. I bought a can of $7.99 gravel-guard and some masking tape and just covered the area around the arches. That was 2 years ago and it still looks great.
These trucks also look great with the flares taken right off.
