Question Where to get low tempurature thermostat?

I had a black thermostat with no markings or numbers anywhere on the outside that kept temperatures at 187F while driving on the highway and low 190's at other speeds. I never got any error codes about the temperature being too low. I noticed that it was cracking, and got a replacement. I replaced it with the tan/white 180F motorad 439-180 which should be the same part as the "warm weather soft spring" thermostat on atlantic british. However, now my coolant temperature is 203F when warmed up. 15 degrees more. The old black thermostat is marked 78C on the inside. I'm pretty sure the black one I had was the PEL500110 thermostat which atlantic british sold a long time ago since I found an invoice stating the thermostat was replaced with a "warm climate" one from AB and that part number. However the one they sell now is different. Where can I find a replacement for this to keep temperatures the same?

Old thermostat

New one

You had one of the good 78C ones! I used the heck out of those until that manufacturer changed their design and simply labeled them as 180F but they were actually stock temp. After that I had to buy the OEM LR 180F Grey units as I couldn't find a true 180F non OEM unit that was truly 180F.

Real OEM 180F on Ebay (Hard to Find)

Hey,
Does anyone currently manufacture the 78C thermostat?

@TNDiscovery2 Extinct's inline mode is the simplest. OEM style are pretty hard to find, Amazon or Ebay are generally bad knockoffs that are higher temp.

This might be it. Even though it says 82C, it is the only one I found online that where the photos exactly match the 78C one I had before.

@evil_goat Yea that is grey soft spring. The black 78C was more typically used for TD5 Diesel engines and hot climates.
